Post the job — free
Post from your diagnosis with your name, email, phone, and area. Pros see the job, your area, and the estimated rate — never your contact details.
A pro claims it
The first pro to claim pays the lead fee, your contact details unlock for that pro only, and they reach out. You see which business claimed your job.
What it costs you
Nothing. Posting is free and homeowners never pay the lead fee. You pay the pro directly for the work, at the price you agree with them — get the scope and price in writing before work starts.
What a claim does — and doesn't — mean
A pro claiming your job is an introduction, not an endorsement. ClickTheFix does not employ, vet, license, insure, or guarantee any contractor, and a paid lead fee is not a background check. Before anyone starts work: verify their license and insurance, check references, and get the job in writing. Any work a contractor does is an agreement between you and that contractor alone; ClickTheFix is not a party to it and is not liable for their workmanship, mistakes, delays, property damage, or injuries.

The lead fee, plainly
- $35 for a standard job. $55 for urgent or safety-hazard jobs.
- Charged once, at the moment you claim — prepaid lead credits first, any remainder to your card on file. You are never charged for a job you don't claim, and no second pro is charged for a job you claimed.
- ClickTheFix takes no percentage of the job. You quote, book, and get paid by the customer directly.
- The fee buys the introduction and the contact details only. It does not guarantee the customer will hire you or pay any particular price, and claiming a lead does not make you an employee, agent, or endorsed partner of ClickTheFix.

ClickTheFix gives you information, not a guarantee. Every diagnosis and guide here is AI-generated or general reference material. It can be wrong or incomplete, and it is not a substitute for a licensed professional's judgment, the manufacturer's instructions, or your local building codes. Read this before you start any repair.
If you do the work yourself
- You choose whether to attempt a repair, and you do it entirely at your own risk.
- ClickTheFix is not responsible if you or anyone else is injured, or if property is damaged, while following — or misfollowing — a guide.
- Follow the safety warnings in every guide, wear proper protective gear, shut off power, water, or gas before you start, and get any permits your area requires.
- Completing a step does not mean the work was done correctly or safely. If a step is beyond your skill, tools, or comfort, stop and hire a professional.
- If a repair involves gas, the inside of an electrical panel, structural work, or vehicle brakes and steering, hire a licensed professional. When in doubt, stop.
If a contractor does the work
- ClickTheFix does not provide repair services and does not employ, recommend, vet, license, insure, or endorse any contractor or tradesperson.
- Any work a contractor does is an agreement between you and that contractor alone. ClickTheFix is not a party to it and cannot supervise or control how the work is done.
- Pros who claim jobs through WhatTheFix pay ClickTheFix a lead fee ($35 per standard job, $55 for urgent or safety-hazard jobs). That fee buys the introduction only — it is not a background check, a license verification, or a guarantee, and ClickTheFix never takes a cut of what you pay the pro for the work itself.
