Information, not professional advice
All content on this site and in the ClickTheFix app — diagnoses, guides, cost figures, and estimates — is general information provided for educational purposes. It can be wrong or incomplete and is not a substitute for a licensed professional's judgment, manufacturer instructions, or local building codes. Cost figures are rough estimates, never quotes.
DIY work is at your own risk
You choose whether to attempt any repair described here, and you do so entirely at your own risk. To the fullest extent allowed by law, ClickTheFix and its operators are not liable for personal injury, death, property damage, or financial loss arising from repairs you attempt yourself, even if a guide contributed to the decision. Follow all safety warnings, use proper protective equipment, shut off power, water, or gas before starting, and obtain any required permits.
Contractors are independent
ClickTheFix does not provide repair services and does not employ, recommend, vet, license, insure, or endorse any contractor or tradesperson, including pros registered with the WhatTheFix network. Any work a contractor performs is solely an agreement between you and that contractor. ClickTheFix is not a party to it, does not supervise it, and is not liable for a contractor's errors, omissions, poor workmanship, property damage, or injuries.
WhatTheFix lead fees
Homeowners post jobs free. A pro who claims a posted job pays a lead fee of $35 for a standard job or $55 for an urgent or safety-hazard job, charged at claim time. The fee buys the introduction and the homeowner's contact details only. It is not a background check, license verification, endorsement, or guarantee — for either side. ClickTheFix takes no percentage of the amount a homeowner pays a pro for work.
